Summary

In addition to meeting the basic education requirement, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-03 (GS-09/11 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional scientist or engineer applying systems engineering principles to research, analyze, interpret, evaluate and develop a software intensive system. Examples of qualifying experience may include (1) experience with systems engineering analysis and design; (2) experience with agile development, data analytics and Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) tools, (3) experience supporting the development of fast pace prototyping activities; (4) knowledge of systems engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices for delivering value on assigned tasking; (5) experience conducting engineering design, development and analysis that results in the identification and recommendation of systems functionality that satisfy required capabilities for warfighters; (6) Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance. Duties

You will be working advanced combat system integration technical activities.You will apply systems engineering, requirements engineering, systems engineering process/management, architecture engineering and initial design on advanced integration concepts.You will provide subject matter expertise to NSWCDD and contribute to engineering efforts for the areas of capability upgrades into combat systems such as AEGIS, LCS, DOG 1000, and SSDS.You will be part of a team responsible for the development of architecture, requirements, and integration options for surface combat systems, including development of integration concept models/papers and support for performance and cost analysis.You will work closely with various agencies, warfare centers, academia and across departments to lead, develop and oversee system engineering efforts.You will provide programmatic support to sponsors and stakeholders in areas related to Combat Systems and new weapon integration in combat systems.
