Job Overview

Summary

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a Database Administrator providing development, testing, implementation, operation, and/or system modification expertise to meet mission and stakeholders needs; and using SQL Server database software technology to analyze causes of failure and to identify and implement appropriate changes. Your experience must demonstrate the following competencies: attention to detail, customer service, decision making, information management, interpersonal skills, oral communication, problem solving, reasoning, teamwork, and technical competence. Duties

You will analyze and define data requirements and specifications.You will design, normalize, develop, install, and implement databases.You will maintain, monitor, performance tune, backup, and recover of databases.You will install, configure, and maintain database management systems software.You will analyze and plan for anticipated changes in data capacity requirements.You will develop and administer data standards, policies, and procedures.You will develop and implement data mining and data warehousing programs.You will evaluate and provide recommendations on new database technologies and architectures.You will ensure the rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of data management services.You will interact with the software development and network teams to coordinate database related activities to meet mission and stakeholder objectives.
