Summary
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Knowledge of Boat Inventory Management; 2) Knowledge and experience in service craft control, repair and modernization; 3) Knowledge of Marine industry language and terms to be able to communicate with maritime personnel; 4) Ability to organize, plan and manage a wide variety of technical data to ensure work is conducted accurately and completely; 5) Skill in interpreting and applying policies, regulations, directives and instructions governing the work of the Regional 3-M program; and 6) Skill in communicating effectively, orally and in writing and to use tact and diplomacy when providing recommendations, advice and guidance. Duties
You will provide a full range of services for conducting management appraisals, studies, projects, data calls and surveys on Port Operations.You will review and appraise existing operating methods, practices and procedures to detect operating deficiencies, inefficiencies or unfavorable trends with responsibility for recommending adaptable solutions to achieve goals and objectives.You will provide short and long-range planning for maintenance of small boats and service craft.You will provide advice and guidance for making effective and efficient decisions related to the administration, training and programmatic planning of Port Operations small boats and service craft.
