Summary

This is an Interdisciplinary position that can be filled by the 0801 (General Engineering), 1301 (General Physical Science), 1515 (Operations Research, 1520 (Mathematics), or the 1550 (Computer Science) series. The series that the selected applicant will be placed into depends on their qualifications. In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-04 pay band (GS-12 and GS-13 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer or scientist providing leadership for an engineering or scientific project to ensure the successful development, installation, or sustainment of a combat system. Duties

You will serve as the Sensor Distribution and Display Systems Branch Head (DNA34), Combat Systems Readiness Division (DNA30), Dam Neck Activity (DNA).You will manage the branch and provide leadership and supervision to approximately thirty scientists, engineers, and technicians.You will oversee the development, installation and sustainment of the AN/SPQ-15 Data Distribution System and AN/SPA-25 Radar Displays, and provide In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) support to legacy AN/SPQ-12 and 14 Sensor Distribution Systems.You will be responsible for the technical, financial, and administrative leadership of an organization that conducts a broad spectrum of complex engineering and scientific projects managed by various Navy program offices or other government agencies.You will manage technical projects, including budget and schedule development, risk management, contracting, and development of task planning sheets across various types of funds and customer bases.You will be responsible for the full range of supervisory responsibilities including executing equal opportunity employment (EEO) hiring, performance development and evaluation, training, recommendations for promotions, and other personnel actions.You will ensure the success and continuation of assigned key programs essential to the agency’s mission by demonstrating initiative of program management responsibilities for a complex Navy/DoD program.You will provide representation to and coordinate with customers and sponsors and participate, as required, in various division, department, and corporate activities.You will identify, evaluate, and recommend appropriate solutions to resolve complex problems and issues relating to surface warfare system sustainment efforts.
